Michael Dayton

Michael Dayton was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and is a graduate from Rockhurst University, with a degree in Accounting. Michael has over 15 years in real estate development and facility management experience, starting with his work as Accounting Manager for the Kansas City, Missouri School District’s (KCMSD) - Capital Improvement Program (CIP) where he implemented a construction management software program to streamline $750 Million Dollar commercial development project. After the KCMSD, Michael went to work for the Community Development Corporation of Kansas City (CDC-KC) as their Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations, where he oversaw single family and multi-family residential construction projects, retail and commercial renovation projects – including management of shopping centers, commercial office buildings and mini industrial parks. During his 10 years working on various urban redevelopment and community enhancement projects Mr. Dayton obtained his certification in Economic Development Finance from the National Development Council.


After CDC-KC, Michael went to work for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation where he wrote the curriculum for the Kauffman’s Coaches Program – which ultimately became the Urban Entrepreneur Partnership (UEP) program working with the Business Consortium of the White House and the National Urban League. After program implementation Michael was promoted to Deputy Director over the Gulf-coast UEP, focused on helping businesses recover from Hurricane Katrina/Rita. After leaving the Kauffman Foundation Michael started his own consulting business Graham Brice & Associates where he served as President/CEO, providing interim Fiscal Management and real estate development consulting. Michael is eager to be a part of the dynamic Dayton Dynasty Realty, LLC – focused on growing the residential and commercial departments of the regional organization.
